God Guides David

After reading Samuel 1,16-31 I analyze that David is a very important character in Jewish religion for his achievements, especially in the fight between him and Goliath. His achievements will come as they come to most of the others prophets in the Bible, they believe in “Lord God”. The Bible shows us David’s faith, “David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.” (Samuel 17, 37) As any other person, David believes in his “winning streak” and also knowing the Lord will help him. I can compare him with athletes who have good times and also bad times, David seems to be in a good one.

David shows us how the Jews have a very deep faith on God and how they say he will always protect them. We can see that in the Bible when it says, “Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.”(Samuel 17, 45) Here Goliath has defied not only the Israelites but also their God, who will protect them. This “Lord God” who David talks a lot about is like the Hebrews father, he cares for them in every situation. As any good father, he will let his children grow and also help them in obstacles. We trust in our parents to a 100% level, having them around always and never letting us down. This is what God is.
