Good News

In the Jewish society there was always a belief of a Messiah who will arrive and be the king of the Jews. This is said by God in this Book, “And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom forever.” (Samuel 7, 12) Here there is proof that god will send a King to rule his people forever. This shows how some people, prophets, heard this from God and so told everyone about it. This is why the Hebrews waited for a Messiah. “I will be his father, and he shall be my son.” (Samuel 7,13) Here God confesses another great news, which means that this Messiah will be his son, a completely just and good person. This is how God gives his word.
